Swing Tube Furnace is an extended, single-zone, large-diameter dynamic heating system. Instead of continuously rotating the furnace tube, the furnace body moves back and forth within a defined angular range.

The swing range is from -30° to +30°.

The electrical control system and the swinging system are controlled independently and can also operate together. This arrangement allows the material inside the tube to move and redistribute repeatedly during heating.

According to the supplied information, this movement can help improve melt uniformity and refine crystals. The equipment is therefore suitable for thermoelectric material preparation and other processes involving dynamic mixing, heating, or melting.

Compared with a continuously rotating furnace, the Swing Tube Furnace is more focused on reciprocating motion within a limited angular range.

Large-Diameter Stainless Steel Tube Configuration

 

The large-diameter configuration uses a 310S stainless steel furnace tube.

Tube diameter can be customized from 50 to 200 mm. The tube has a listed temperature resistance of 1000°C and also provides good ductility.

For this large-diameter version, the maximum operating temperature is 1000°C and continuous working temperature should not exceed 900°C.

Rated power is 15 kW, and rated voltage is 220 V, 50/60 Hz.

The recommended heating rate is no more than 10°C/min.

The heating element is 0Cr21Al6Nb iron-chromium-aluminum alloy wire. Three K-type thermocouples are used, and temperature control accuracy is ±1°C.

The heating-zone length can be customized according to project requirements.

 

Important Difference Between Large- and Small-Diameter Models

 

The supplied source also lists YBL1200 and YBL1200-II small-diameter models with a maximum temperature of 1200°C.

Their furnace tube, power, and equipment configuration are different from the large-diameter 1000°C stainless steel version.

These two parameter groups should not be combined when selecting equipment.

When purchasing a Swing Tube Furnace, buyers should first determine whether they need the large-diameter stainless steel tube configuration or the smaller-diameter model series.

Tube diameter, heating-zone length, swing angle, and sample processing volume should then be confirmed according to the actual process.
