Three Independent Heating Zones for Temperature Gradient Control

 

Quartz Tube Furnace is an open-type, three-zone tube heating system with a maximum temperature of 1100°C and a continuous operating temperature of no more than 1000°C.

The equipment uses three independently controlled heating zones. This allows different parts of the sample or reaction area to operate at different temperatures.

Such a configuration is useful for experiments requiring multiple temperature sections, controlled temperature gradients, or separate temperature settings for the sample and catalyst areas.

The furnace uses high-purity quartz tubes and stainless steel sealing flanges. Samples can therefore be processed under vacuum or protective atmosphere conditions according to the configured system.

Programmable Temperature Control and Data Recording

 

The temperature control system uses YD858 temperature controllers with PID control, automatic tuning, and 50-segment programmable control.

Temperature control accuracy is ±1°C.

Three controllers operate the three heating zones independently. All zones can be started together through synchronized heating, or each zone can be controlled separately according to the process.

The touch screen can record and save temperature data in real time. If an experiment is stopped during operation, the system can restart from a selected heating stage.

The sample and catalyst zones can each store no fewer than 20 programs, with at least 30 heating stages available in each program. This provides flexibility for multi-step heating, holding, and cooling processes.

 

Quartz Tube, Gas Flow and Heating Configuration

 

The rated voltage is 220 V, 50/60 Hz, and rated power is 4.5 kW.

The recommended heating rate is no more than 10°C/min, while the listed maximum heating rate is 20°C/min.

A K-type thermocouple is used for temperature measurement, while 0Cr21Al6Nb iron-chromium-aluminum alloy wire is used as the heating element.

The standard system includes four φ50 × 1000 mm high-purity quartz tubes and twelve float flowmeters with a range of 0.2–2 L/min.

Stainless steel vacuum flanges and high-temperature silicone sealing rings are provided as the standard sealing configuration. Other flange, bellows, and vacuum display options can be discussed when a higher vacuum requirement is involved.
