Openable Furnace Chamber for Easier Tube and Sample Access

 

Flip-Top Tube Furnace is a laboratory and small-scale heat treatment furnace with an openable chamber structure.

The maximum operating temperature is 1200°C, while continuous operating temperature should not exceed 1100°C.

The open structure makes furnace tube placement, removal, and replacement more convenient. It is also suitable for applications where samples or internal components need to be repositioned frequently during research or production trials.

The equipment uses a double-layer furnace shell with an air-cooling system. High-purity alumina fiber is used inside the furnace chamber to reduce heat transfer toward the external shell.

A high-temperature alumina coating is applied to the inner furnace surface to improve heat reflection and heating efficiency.

Single-Zone and Dual-Zone Models

 

Two configurations are available: GL1200-S and GL1200-S-II.

GL1200-S is a single-zone model with a heating-zone length of 200 mm.

GL1200-S-II is a dual-zone model with two 100 mm heating sections, providing a total configuration of 100 mm + 100 mm.

Both models use a Φ25 × 600 mm quartz tube. Rated power is 1.5 kW and rated voltage is 220 V.

The listed external dimensions are approximately 730 × 330 × 440 mm, with an equipment weight of approximately 21 kg.

The recommended heating rate is no more than 10°C/min, and temperature control accuracy is ±1°C.

 

Selecting the Furnace by Heating-Zone Requirement

 

The equipment can be used for sintering, annealing, heat treatment, and atmosphere experiments involving relatively small samples.

The single-zone model is suitable where the process requires a more uniform temperature condition within one heating section.

The dual-zone model allows two adjacent furnace areas to operate at different temperatures and can be considered when the process needs a temperature difference or segmented heating.

When selecting a Flip-Top Tube Furnace, buyers should confirm quartz tube diameter, sample size, effective heating-zone length, whether vacuum or protective atmosphere is required, and whether single-zone or dual-zone control is more suitable.

Sample length should also be considered in relation to the effective constant-temperature region.
